Player Evaluation
Houstonpreps.net will come out evaluate and critique a player’s game live or by videotape. Evaluation includes a shot chart, detailed analysis of the game, full stat sheet (steals, rebounds, blocked shots, assists, turnovers), A graphic chart that breaks down the complete game (i.e.—how many times did you get beat off the dribble, how many times did you draw a foul, how many shots did you take going left/right, etc.) strengths and weaknesses, and drills that coincide with your weaknesses. The evaluation will be a brutally honest report that will tell you what you need to work on and improvements that need to be made to play on the collegiate level.
Photo Opportunities
Houstonpreps.net will come out and take pregame, locker room, halftime, and live game action photos of a specific player or team. The photos will be issued to you via CD. You can see the photo gallery on the home page that we did for Madison High School.
Highlight Tape
You can get a professional highlight reel made for your personal enjoyment, to get recruited, or simply for memories. The highlight tape will be issued via DVD.
SAT/ACT Prep
Houstonpreps.net will provide SAT and ACT tutoring to interested student athletes.
Documentary
You can get your very own documentary where Houstonpreps.net in association with Vizionmediagroup will follow you around for a “Day in the Life”. It will be professionally edited along with a soundtrack and DVD complete with a menu and chapter options. Check out the documentary we did on the # 1 player in the area Tommy Mason Griffin.
Recruiting Package
Houstonpreps.net will present a recruiting package that will help the student athlete get recruited by the level of schools that his talents suggest. If you have goals and plans to compete at the collegiate level, but don't know where to begin then the recruiting package is for you. Whether you are a freshman and you are trying to get a jump-start on the competition or if you are a junior and the clock is ticking Houstonpreps.net has the tools to assist with narrowing your choices and making the connection with college coaches easier. The recruiting package is designed to help the athlete, parents, high school coaches, college coaches, and scouts. There will be a fee upfront and the remaining balance will be paid once the athlete secures his scholarship or is admitted into school. If the athlete does not secure a scholarship, partial scholarship, or is not admitted into a university or institution of higher learning playing basketball the remaining balance will waived.
The recruiting package includes:
- Personal Training twice a week
- Open phone consultation (24hrs/ 7 days a week)
- Athletic, Academic, and Personal Profile
- Letter of Interest
- Highlight tape
- Personal Evaluation and updates once a week
- SAT/ACT Prep
- FASFA and College admissions assistance
- A breakdown of every college and university in the region or state that you want to play along with position analysis
- Contact to college coaches (phone numbers and emails)
- Workouts and Tryouts in front of college scouts and coaches
- Assistance in every phase of recruiting (i.e.—campus and in home visits, narrowing down a specific list, etc.)
If you choose the recruiting package Houstonpreps.net will do everything in its power to help the student athlete land that coveted scholarship. With the cost of tuition rising everybody is seeking that competitive edge in gaining that scholarship. In spite of the in depth recruiting that takes place in these times there are still a large number of players that go under the radar or underecruited, so to speak. This package is not for the All –American, or top ranked player. The package is for the player who might be playing in the shadows of a five star player, the kid who developed late in his career, or the kid who didn’t receive a fair shot in high school.
A fee will apply for Houstonpreps.net to come out and evaluate the student athlete. If we feel there is a realistic chance for the kid to play at the collegiate level in some form and that we can help the kid obtain that goal then we will continue with the services.
The fee is a one-time up front fee and the remaining balance will be paid once the kid secures his scholarship. You can sign up for the recruiting package at any point in your high school career. If you are a freshman we will stick with you through the whole process. The same will apply for sophomores and upperclassmen. Houstonpreps.net has connections to over 100 colleges on every level. (NCAA Division 1, 2, and 3, NAIA Division 1 &2, Prep Schools, and the National Junior College Association (NJCAA) also know as JUCO)
